REFLECTIONS

Reflection, thinking about learning and growth, is an essential part of any learning experience. As an English teacher, I often ask students to reflect on their learning in writing. It is often during reflection that I discover what it is that I have truly learned. Metacognition, or thinking about learning and thinking, is an essential part of processing the learning experience. I enjoy learning, and one of the reasons I enrolled in Virginia Tech's ITMA program is to learn more about technology. I like to try things and find out what will happen. Over the course of time I spent in the program, I am proud of what I've learned, from the educational psychology, to research, to Macromedia Flash, to creating effective screencasts.

These reflections uncover what I have learned during the course of my studies and how I have grown as a teacher, thinker, and instructional technologist.
